Okay, so last night I'm watching this and I remember from the last episode that Muramasa wanted to fight Ichigo alone so that he could see the Deathberry's ultimate attack. When Ichi figured this out, he did it and Muramasa deflected it toward the barrier that, come to find out, Yamamoto-soutaichou had sealed himself in!
The attacked shattered the soutaichou's barrier and Muramasa was able to sway his zanpakutou. After that, the demon zanpakutou disappeared in flamey exit.
Now! For this episode: Shunsui, Ukitake, Ichigo, Yoruichi, and the soutaichou were all trapped in this fiery ring and couldn't get out ( they tried many ways and were getting burned at every turn ). Then Yama-ji reveals Muramasa's true motive: going to Karakura-cho to attempt to revive his old shinigami master named Kouga. This Kouga fellow is sealed in some barrier in Karakura and that's what this guy was after.
Of course, he couldn't get there on his own, so Byakuya and Senbonzakura went with him and Byakuya volunteered to keep anything that'd notice his presence away. Senbonzakura was sent to keep an eye on Byakuya.
Muramasa found the place where his master was sealed, but before he could do anything further, he noticed someone nearby. It was ORIHIME ( finally some screen time )!! Muramasa attacked, she went all shieldy on him and then he tried to attack again and then kinda... fainted.
He wakes up to being healed by her ( OMG! WTF are you DOING 'Hime?! D8 ) and he's all, "Why are you helping me, I'm your enemy?" and she's all, "I can't turn away from someone who's in need."
Then a few moments later, Ishida and Chad show up! Muramasa was like "You had friends with you?! D<" and then it jumped back to Soul Society.
Ichigo was being all, "It's my fault 'cause I broke the barrier. I've gotta stop Muramasa." You know, just being himself. So everyone was trying to help Ichigo escape the fire. Yoruichi used Flash Cry to get out through the bottom, but she got trapped down there and she ran into Haineko and Hinamori's zanpakutou ( the name escapes me right now ).
So, it left Ukitake, Shunsui, and Yamamoto to help him. Ichigo was almost out, but Yama-ji's zanpakutou put him in some fiery ball and poor Ichi was trapped, but THEN out of the sky comes Hitsugaya and Hyourinmaru to the rescue!
The two go into bankai mode and help Ichigo escape. Now he's en route to Karakura-cho to kick some arse!
