NAME: Tsukamoto Akina
AGE: Appears to be 19

APPEARANCE: Akina is a mocha skinned, curvaceous girl. She has waist-length brown hair that she wears in a loose ponytail, tied with an orange ribbon. Akina has almond shaped, light brown eyes. She also has large breasts that are about the same size as Inuoe Orihime’s and converses about them casually as Matsumoto Rangiku does. Akina is small in her vertical stature, standing only at 5’0” and making her an easy target for short jokes.
She wears the standard Shinigami uniform, but wears the top slightly loose, exposing a little cleavage, but not as much as Rangiku. Akina also owns a lot of autumn-themed accessories, which are either orange, red, brown, or yellow. She has a gold necklace with a maple leaf charm around her neck. She also has a pair of small maple leaf earrings, one of which is a dark red and the other is a dark orange. Akina also owns two sets of beads, one brown and the other yellow. She carries her zanpakutou on her right hip for convenient unsheathing.
PERSONALITY: Akina is extremely hyper, which she feels rubs some people the wrong way at time, mainly her taichou. She can be carefree especially when she has free time, in which she’s normally hanging with the other female Shinigami talking about regular girl stuff.
When it comes to her duties as a Shinigami, she gets it done quickly and as accurately as she can. Akina really admires and looks up to Byakuya and it shows through her actions. She’s a strong willed fighter who will risk her own neck for her cause.
ZANPAKUTOU: Kin hana (“Golden flower”; literal, “a little flower”)
In its unreleased form, Kin hana is a normal katana with only a few customizations. The guard of the sword has a flower engraved on one side and a leaf engraved on the other. Kin hana’s wrapping is a orange and gold split, blending where the two colors meet. A dark red ribbon is tied to the top of Kin hana’s dark brown sheath.
SHIKAI (if applicable): “Flourish, Kin hana.”
Kin hana transforms into a thin, double-edged sword and the hilt of the sword takes the form of a golden crocus. The grip resembles two stems twisting around one another and the guard takes the shape of the flower itself. There are two tassels hanging from the pommel, one of which has a maple leaf charm and the other has a snow crocus leaf charm.
Shokubutsu no Senjou (botanical battlefield): Akina places the blade of her zanpakutou into the ground, causing the plants within a small radius to die, but doing so places them under her control. This allows her to use the plants as weapons if need be.
Akina has not obtained bankai yet!
HISTORY: Akina had been on her own since she was 3 years old when her mother was beaten to death by street thugs. She never knew her father, resulting in her being referred to as a bastard child and kicked around often. She “lived” in the 23rd district of Rukongai and stayed with a group of other children who were either orphans or runaways. As she was coming up, she, as well as the others, had to scrape and scuffle for food.
Akina’s desire to become a Shinigami developed when she was helped by one after she’d lost a fight for food with another child. The kind woman gave her food and made sure she got back to her group safely. Since then, she’s been looking for the woman who helped her so that she may thank her properly.
This led to her enrolling in the academy to become a Shinigami. During her time at the academy, she continued her search for the woman, but to no avail. Though its been decades since Akina saw that Shinigami, she still hasn’t given up the search for her. She’s determined to find her and thank her. Until then, she follows her captain’s orders to ensure the safety of the Soul Society.
OTHER: Akina is strongest when it comes to opponent restraint. She practiced restriction spells more to mask the fact that she isn’t as good with sword fighting as the other Shinigami in her division.
She also has a thing for the grumpy and seemingly unemotional captains.
