NAME: Takashita Daichi
AGE: 14
GENDER: Male
RANK AND DIVISION: Human! Student in Karakura.
APPEARANCE:
Daichi is a healthy, semi-athletic kid. His skin is a nice tan, having spent a lot of time out in the sun. He has brown, short fluffy hair that parts in the middle of his forehead. His eyes are a chocolate brown color, a bit brighter than the color of his hair. His height ranges at about 5"6, just barely below average for the male students in his grade.
PERSONALITY: Daichi is, in short, a dork. His disposition is happy and carefree, very outgoing and lighthearted. His personality is infectious, and he tries his best at making friends. Sometimes he can prove to be a bit too much. Being overly loud and rambunctious at times, but an over-all fun guy to be around.
Daichi's got a good set of morals. He'll proudly stand up for what he thinks is right. He's not the most eloquent fourteen year old, but his heart makes up for it. One thing he hates most is dishonesty and disloyalty; a trait which in turn has made Daichi an honest and loyal person. Once he's considered you a friend, nothing will change the fact.
POWER: Fullbring (uh, tbc.)
HISTORY: Daichi was orphaned along with his older brother at ages three and eleven. Their parents died on a business trip away from home. The authorities split up the brothers, sending them to different orphanages based on their ages. Being only three years old, Daichi adapted without too much trouble but was very introverted in his young age. He was shy and kept to himself, often playing alone. Eventually some kids took him under their wing and kept him around; the leader of the group especially. He was a bossy type that kept Daichi around because he didn't object or argue.
One fateful day when the orphanage was on the rare chance for a field trip, disaster struck and the bus toting all the children tumbled into a ravine. The six year old at the time was sitting in the back row. When the bus rolled, Daichi was thrown against the window and was at rest on the roof when the bus came to a stop. No one was conscious as far as Daichi could tell. He knew he needed to get help. Somehow he found his way back to the emergency exit in the back. He crawled out the door, cut, bruised and aching like he never had before. He no sooner hit the ground and rolled further down a ravine that the bus exploded sending fire and debris in all directions above his head. Daichi doesn't remember all the details of that day and it suits him just fine.
Daichi awoke in the hospital after the ordeal and found himself in company he hadn't seen for 3 years. His big brother, now 14 stood over his bed with a man who's features would have reminded Daichi of his father, had he a good memory of him. Their uncle Hisoka had taken Daisuke in and they had been looking for the orphanage Daichi had been taken to. The horrifying news of the crash was what drew them to Daichi. They found him at last and Daichi went home with his newly reunited family.
Daichi felt blessed for his family and attached himself to his big brother, never wanting to be alone again. His big brother took on the role of protective guardian with pride. He alone coaxed Daichi out of his shell and into a more happier persona. Their uncle however, was a man of sinister intentions. He was their uncle, of course, but the only reason he took in the two boys was for what they had in the bank. Their parents were very renowned in the business world and very wealthy. They left everything to them should anything have happened. Being as young as they were, the kids had no knowledge of this. The uncle took advantage and became their legal guardian, placing him in charge of all their money.
Though he cares for them adequately, he treats them as if they should be grateful to eat the crumbs off his plate. (Which they don't, but he's still a bastard.) At home he's simply a strict jerk. Daichi is left with all the chores and sometimes the cooking. He's Hisoka's official errand boy and slave. Lucky for Daichi, reprieves come easily enough with school, summer jobs and activities. Most of the time his uncle forgets he even exists, leaving him even more time to enjoy his free time. He spends lots of it away from home.
With Daichi's brother away at college and living on his own, Daichi is left alone with his uncle until his brother can accomidate him. He can't wait for the day he moves in.
Daichi has no spiritual awareness to start really, though right after he got out of the hospital you could say he saw some interesting things. It didn't last long, however. By the time he got settled into his new home, Daichi forgot all about the things he saw in those first few weeks.
OTHER: Daichi's favorite food is marshmallows! Similiar to how Orihime has a love for red bean paste, Daichi would put marshmallows in anything had he the chance.
Daichi always has a pair of glasses on his person, though almost never wears them. Not that he has a problem with people who do wear them, he just feels silly and bashful when he does. He doesn't think they suit him.
He only wears them when an adult forces him to, or if he's alone and studying. (...yes, he studies.)
