Chapter 405 (spoilers!)

The chapter's opening makes me even more worried about Rangiku (and Kira and Gin, for that matter) than I already was...but despite how much I love all of them, I think it's the rest of the chapter that's going to have my attention for a WHILE. I knew zanpakutou could have several abilities, but just how many does that make for Benihime? I guess he's had a long time to develop them, but still...

And the #1 wtf moment: GETSUGA TENSHOU? SERIOUSLY!? HOW!? Someone explain that to me. PLEASE. How, exactly, do both of them have the SAME ABILITY? And I'd like to point out that, on page 18, it really looks like Isshin's zanpakutou IS NOT EVEN IN SHIKAI. Everything ELSE aside, a zanpakutou using an ability without even being in shikai has never been shown before...I'M INCREDIBLY CONFUSED.

But it's an awesome kind of confusion. Kubo, you get major awesome points for this chapter. MAJOR ONES.

Well, your #1 wtf can be easily answered: Getsuga Tenshou isn't Zangetsu's ability, it's just a simple burst of condensed Reiatsu Power. It is obvious that Isshin wasn't even using his Shikai - and if he was and Getsuga Tenshou is indeed Ichigo's ability, that means Isshin's Shikai's ability is the mimicry of other Zanpakuto powers - which would be awesome. XD
But then again, I still believe Getsuga Tenshou is just a burst of Reiryoku, simply because Inner Ichigo used it first and because it was explained as such in the Anime/Manga when Ichigo first used it on Urahara. I suppose, Zangetsu's abilities are the improved rate of using Reishi as weapons or something like that.

At any rate, I wasn't surprised at all when Isshin used Getsuga Tenshou.

I thought it was pretty funny how aizen kept going "is that all you can do" and kept getting hit lol.

I also thought it was cool when isshin used getsuga as opposed to being surprised by it. And on another note how cool is urahara suddenly!

Yeah, Urahara got a LOT of awesome points last week. I love that we finally got to see a little bit of what Benihime can really do.

Can't wait for this week's chapter!

The only thing missing to make this battle totally uber is Ishida Ryuuken.

I'm in a state of freaking shock right now. Everyone's pretty much pointed out everything that I'm shocked over.

I second Gorudo~ Ryuuken would soooo make this fight over-the-top epic!! *o*

I bet isshin and ryuuken are like friends but like its a isshin always being friendly and ryuuken being all no go away loser. Sorta like that!

I bet Aizen will be all "Heh, that's the best you can do" and then he's shot through the Hogyouku hole by Ryuuken. X3

But since it's Aizen we're talking about, he'll be all "that's nothing" and slay them down... And then Mayuri, Byakuya and Kenpachi will join the fight due to finishing off Yammy Rialgo already.

Ichigo, Isshin, Urahara, Yoruichi, Ryuuken, Uryuu, Rukia, Sado, Renji, Byakuya, Kenpachi and Mayuri vs. Aizen.
Conclusion "Aizen: I surrender!". XD
