Setting the alarm was useless, the teen was too anxious to sleep. A public high school in a new town, those two things alone were enough to make Yum Si-Joon way too excited to consider resting. Though, his excitement tired him out eventually and he did managed to fall asleep, waking up almost an hour earlier than his alarm was set for. When the device sounded, he'd already gotten dressed and eaten some leftovers his mother had left behind for him when she'd visited the day before. He would have tried to watch TV, but his pacing and clock-watching kept his mind occupied long enough.
Time crept by slowly. Second by second, minute by agonizing minute. When was this torture going to end?! Finally, when it was a good enough time to depart, the teen was gone in a flash. He had tried to leave so quickly that he'd almost left his apartment unlocked. Lucky for him, his neighbor's daughter alerted him. Thanking the adorable elementary student, he was off once again toward his destination.
Following that, he found himself speed walking toward Karakura High using a route that he found to be both scenic and quick! He'd made sure his appearance was just right as well. His uniform was well pressed and he'd spent a considerable amount of time on his hair to make sure it looked just right. Si-Joon even went through the unnecessary task of polishing his earrings. He was just that excited! Yes, the Korea-born boy was extremely eager to enter high school and mingle with a new crowd of people who would, hopefully, NOT be stuck up and/or prissy.
This is going to be awesome~! he thought with a huge grin plastered on his face while strolling down the street. I wonder what my classmates are like. I hope there are some cute girls.
The teen's imagination began to wander away from him as unrealistic images of obviously older women with overly developed "lady bits" appeared in his mind. These dream women swarmed around him, cooing and fawning over him. They all even addressed him as "sempai" even though he's a first-year high schooler. A goofy laugh escaped him as he lightly batted at the air, "fending" off the dastardly females that dared to tell him how cool and good-looking he was.
However, his fantasy came to an end when he walked through the gates of his new school. Widened eyes scanned the building with excitement. One would think that it was Si-Joon's first time at a school period. Still, he continued to stare in awe at the school and it seemed the only way to break him from his trance would be to literally topple him over.

"Daichi! Get your butt out of bed and get dressed! You're going to be late for school. Again. Like you always are." The loud and fairly stern command ended with a tone akin to sarcasm. A few seconds rolled by without so much as an acknowledgment before the voice boomed again from down the darkened hall.
"DAICHI!"
A few bedroom doors down, a lump shifted in his bed. Daichi grunted, rolling over so his messy bed-hair peeked from underneath his bed spread. " 'M uuuuuup...." it whined in a sleepy voice.
With his eyes still closed and mentally cursing the sunlight that streamed through the blinds of his window, Daichi kicked off the blanket and shuffled to the bathroom to brush his teeth. His clothes that had been put out freshly ironed and folded had fallen from their perch sometime in the night, and were now a crumpled mess on the floor atop the other clothes that littered the messy teenager's room. He donned those and made his way downstairs to shove a piece of toast in his mouth.
Daichi had only just taken a bite before his head was back down, on the table, soaking his bread with drool.
His father, who sat across the table with a plate full of breakfast in front of him and a paper in his hands, put his paper down. He stared for a moment, before folding his paper and whacking the boy across the head. No words of any sort were exchanged; this was the normal morning routine.
" 'M UPF!" Daichi shot up, his now soggy toast still hanging from his lips. Shaking himself awake, he gobbled down his toast, gulped down a glass of milk and grabbed his backpack.
"Bye 'Tou-san~" Daichi waved, shutting the door as he ran out toward the bus stop that he would almost miss.
"Mm. See you after school Daichi~" His father called absently, going back to reading his paper.
The Karakura High bus came to a stop at the front of the school, pulling around the flow of high schoolers that came to learn. Being one of the first buses to arrive, the students on it were fairly early. Which was good because...
"Ahh! I forgot to grab my schedule! I wonder if the office has another I can have.."
Daichi climbed off the bus, nearly being bowled over by some of the bigger kids. Augh. He hated first days of school. Especially when you were the bottom of the food chain! Grumbling, he swung his backpack up to his shoulder, it having slid off during the rough exit.
In his self pitying however, Daichi didn't realized when he swung his bag, it had hit one of the seniors.. He did realize what he had done, though after he was being pushed back to stumble over the curb. He fell into a nearby student, sending them both sprawling into the grass. Those jerks! Ah, at least he had someone to break his fall!

THWACK!! THWACK!! THWACK!! The loud and sudden sounds of two wooden blades clashing into one another broke the early morning silence. It disturbed no one however because there were no one to be disturbed. At barely five-thirty in the morning, the parental figures of the house were already at work, so the one causing the ruckus had little to worry about. This went on for several minutes; the student and sensei trading blows, neither one showing any relent in their attack. Just as they were about to start yet another round, an alarm clock sounded, the beep sounding the room and alerting the occupants of the time. "Tch, Haku-san, sounds like it's time for you to get ready."
"Sorry Sensei. I meant to defeat you before I had to go."
"Haha! As if that would be possible."
"I have no doubt in my mind that I can defeat you. Just having a half hour to do it in is what is making it difficult. It isn't a matter of strength between us, but endurance."
"So you have been listening to what I say."
"Yes I have. Now, please excuse me, I must be getting ready. I will see you again tomorrow." The younger out of the two set down the practice weapon and exited the room, taking his time to make it up to the floor above. Kohaku didn't mind school, but it wasn't exactly his favorite pastime.
"Music. On."
As if by magic, or just some nice gadgetry, music suddenly filled the house at his command, giving him something to listen to as he went about finishing up his morning routine. The teen swayed side to side as prepared his breakfast; one egg, three pieces of bacon, a slice of toast, one glass of orange juice and one glass of milk. Kohaku finished up with just enough time to take his shower and get dressed before the familiar beeping of the car horn alerted him that it was finally time to go.
"Music. Off."
The teen closed the door behind him; pausing for a moment as he listened for the click of the locks before walking towards the black automobile waiting for him.
"Good Morning, Hiroharu-san." The driver greeted with a smile as he opened the passenger door for Haku.
"Mornin'. Take a scenic route today."
"But Koha.."
"I don't want to arrive earlier than needed, that's all."
"Ah... of course."
Without further delay, the driver put the car into gear and went on his way. There really were not any scenic routes on the way to the school, so the driver just drove around until it was almost time for Kohaku to arrive. Pulling up to the front, the driver hurried out and opened the door for the student.
"Have a nice day, Kohaku-san."
"Yeah, you too."
Without saying another word to the kindly man, Kohaku started to walk towards the building. If there was one thing he enjoyed the most about that morning, it'd have to be the cool fresh air. It felt and smelt nice. He took in a deep breath, slowly exhaling before taking a couple of steps forward, stopping short of his destination. "Hm?" He turned towards the two younger students on the ground. "Hey.... why... are you two... making out right here? Why not... ya know... in private?
Kohaku could only feel the presence of a person's spirit, not differentiate between genders. Two people on the ground, one basically on the other. It was a completely innocent inquiry from the older student.

For a while longer, Si-Joon continued to stare up at the high school. His heart was pounding from the excitement of it all. Then a bus pulled in and loads of students began to file out. There were many and they were way more lively than the others at his past school. As he watched to number head into the gate of Karakura High, his train of thought was abruptly interrupted by the weight of another person pushing against his, successfully knocking him over. Great! His first action at his new school was falling over because someone wasn't looking where they were going. Or so he thought.
"Eh... are you alright, dude?" he asked the other, rubbing the side of his arm that he'd fallen on.
Well, wasn't this great?! His uniform had gotten dusty from the fall! After he spent all of that time preparing it for this day. All of his hard work, wasted i an instant. It was like... like... rubbing dirt in his eyes!! At least, to him it was. If the teen was more inclined to become emo, he would have already shrunk into his corner of woe and grew woe-ful mushrooms. All the while mumbling about nothing. Just when he was about to stand, he heard another voice speak to him.
""Hey.... why... are you two... making out right here? Why not... ya know... in private?" was the question from a taller guy. Was he older than Si-Joon? It sure looked like it. However, the question sent the Korean into a slight rant.
"We're not making out! He fell on me because he wasn't looking where he was going!!" he pointed to the other with a frantic flail. "How can you even say that about two guys?! That's just wrong on so many levels! Those jokes aren't even funny!!"
His blow-up left him panting and frustrated. That was really mean and it kind of hurt his feelings. Though, Si-Joon didn't notice the guy's appearance until after he was done with aforementioned rant.

"Augh.. Those jerks.." Daichi grumbled, rubbing the sore spot on his head. He blinked at the question from the student he was currently on top of, his backpack stuck between them. "Uh, yeah. I think so." Daichi rolled around trying to get up, but with his backpack filled with his brand new text books, he was as useless as a turtle on it's back. He flailed, trying even harder to get to his feet. ..Then he realized he could roll over onto his stomach. Which he did. But just as he was about pull himself up, a new voice spoke at the pair still kneeling in the grass.
We're... WHAT!? "Eehh!? NO WAY!" Daichi looked panicked, flitting between looking at the kid he fell on, and the boy who was currently assuming they were making out! Yech! How could anyone think that they were ma-
"HEY! I was watching where I was going! Some jerks just shoved me after getting off the bus! I'm not that klutzy!"
During his tirade (not to mention Si-Joon's), Daichi had managed to get to his feet. He brushed off the grass and dirt that clung to his semi-wrinkly uniform. Not even bothering to give the assuming brat a once over, Daichi still grumbled and readjusted his pack. This is why he hated school. Y'had to get up at the butt-crack of dawn, (Butt-crack of almost missing the bus, in Daichi's case), put on a boring school uniform and actually go to school. Which was boring. Not to mention the bullies that targeted you for being the fresh meat. Nope, Daichi would rather sleep in the first few weeks, thanks.
In fact, all this crankyness could be chalked up to the fact that Daichi was just not a morning person.
Daichi was about to bid adieu to the people who ruined his morning when he actually took notice of the boy who had previously accused the two students of making out in the grass. He actually stopped and stared for a moment, taken in by his curiosity.
"Um...." He paused, blinking. "Why do you have a cloth over your eyes?"
Maybe if you didn't have that, you could tell that we're both boys.. and not homos! Daichi thought exasperatedly.
...Daichi had admit though. It was pretty cool-looking. Not that he'd admit it to the person who couldn't see he was CLEARLY not a homo.
He was so enthralled with this boy's appearance that he forgot about the korean he bowled over moments before.

Haku took a step back as he was ranted to by the two boys who he had accidentally accused of making out. Had he known that they both were male, he wouldn't have said such a thing. Chuckling quietly to himself, Haku nervously gave his neck a quick rub.
"Hehe... s.sorry you two, I shouldn't have jumped to any conclusions. Please forgive me."
Shifting his backpack onto the opposite shoulder, the teen was about to walk away until one of the boys questioned his appearance. Pausing mid-step for a moment before letting his foot return to the ground, he turned towards the source of the voice.
"This thing?"
He pointed to the cloth as he questioned Daichi, almost surprised that someone would be blunt enough to ask about it without already knowing why something such as that would be worn.
"It's to cover my eyes. I don't like others staring at me. They're pretty much useless anyway, so it isn't like not wearing it would've made a difference."

Tilting his head in curiosity, Si-Joon blinked once before opening his mouth and closing it once again. He was definitely interested, but he didn't want to be rude. However, if he didn't ask, he wouldn't know for certain. Though... the answer to his inquiry has pretty much been given. Asking was just for closure.
"So, um... you're, like, blind?" he asked after picking up his bag and dusting off the last of the dirt and picking a random branch from his hair.
Again, asking was only for closure. He only wanted to make sure... and apologize for jumping the gun.
Also, the other teen next to Si-Joon needed an apology. He'd spouted off without knowing his side of the story as to why they had their spill. From the looks of it, the kid was about his age. Were they in the same grade? Geez, so many things buzzing about in the Korean's mind at once. Things like that would eventually give him a headache.

Blunt. Very blunt. The Korean boy had taken Kohaku by surprise. After all, hadn't he just basically stated that he was unable to see? Perhaps he wasn't clear enough. Nevertheless, it wasn't a topic he willingly spoke about. The situation however did call for it, so with a reluctant sigh, Haku nodded his head.
"Yeah, ya pretty much hit the nail on the head."
The upperclassmen paused for a moment as he pondered a thought. The two boys really did seem offended by his mistake. Maybe he should try to make it up to them.
"You two busy after school? I have the Kendo club to look after, but once I finish up with that would you two like to come over for some food or something? I feel a bit bad for not being more... sensitive."
Opening up his home for two strangers?! Was he crazy? His parent's would most likely question why he'd do such a thing considering he had never done it before. Haku wasn't exactly the social type outside club activities.
"If not, that is cool. I will just pay for your lunches."
(bad post is bad. ><)
