APPEARANCE: [x] Renjirou's six foot frame is of an athletic build, a result from years of training as a human and even more years within the Seireitei. His long, mid-back hair is ink black, streaked with minute strands of winter blue. Serious hazel eyes gaze out of a strong, clean-shaven face. Donning the usual shihakusho, he is usually identified by the black and silver earring that dangles from his left ear.
PERSONALITY: Renjirou is a collected, serious man who holds himself strictly to a code of honour. With experience as a leader of sorts, he is meticulously responsible of any and everything he is given the task of completing. Diligent and duty-driven, he is unquestioningly obedient to his superiors, though he may alter the way in which he achieves it if he believes that the motives behind the orders are against his own morales. He is also steadfast and loyal to his comrades, never backing down from a fight to defend them. He is courteous, especially with women, and holds a certain "big brother" feel in his treatment towards close friends and younger peers.
Due to his upbringing as one of the living he is straightforward and formal in his manner towards others, which gives him an insensitive and aloof impression. The fact of the matter is, he is rather reticent, and because he rarely had the chance, he finds it hard to express feelings and emotions properly. Renjirou is quite stiff in his view of matters, and though he doesn't care about the antics of his Taichou's best friend, it's very clear that people who goof off and take things too lightly rub him the wrong way. As such, though it usually doesn't seem like it, he doesn't have the greatest temper, and tends to get irate rather quickly.
WEAPON: Zanpakutou "Touryoushi" ("Winter Hunter", 冬猟師)
Touryoushi's sealed form appears as any regular zanpakutou with a dark blue hilt. The tsuba has two golden jewels that are crafted to look like a predator's eyes if the sword is pointed directly at someone.

Upon release, Touryoushi becomes a naginata with a midnight blue laquered staff. The staff is embossed with a snarling leaping silver wolf with small round ice blue jewel acting as the wolf's eye. Twelve similar jewels line either side of the wolf, six in front and six behind. As the weapon's name suggests, Touryoushi is an ice element zanpakutou. Renjirou can use moisture in the atmosphere in a 20-foot radius around him to utilize Touryoushi's ice abilities, which include can range from pelting the enemy with ice shards to barriers of ice.
The jewels in Touryoushi's staff are called "Sensou no Sou" (Aspects of War, 戦争の相), and manifest its other ability. Every time Renjirou scores a hit which leaves a wound (meaning, something more serious than a bleeding arm gash), one jewel will light up starting from the ones furthest from the wolf. The jewels light in an alternating pattern, gradually making its way to the middle jewel, the wolf's eye. Once all thirteen jewels are lit, Renjirou has two choices. One is to boost the power of all of Touryoushi's ice attacks for ten minutes. The other is to use all the energy stored in the jewels to produce "Hyouketsu Yougeki" (Freezing Ambush, 氷結要撃), an all-out attack in which Touryoushi amplifies Renjirou's shunpo to a point that both Shinigami and Zanpakutou become "invisible" for that singular strike. Whichever choice Renjirou makes, all thirteen jewels dim, and the cycle repeats.
HISTORY: After his untimely death in the human world, Renjirou was sent to the 6th District of Rukongai. As soon as he realized his situation he immediately set out to find his friends who had been killed along with him. It was a long and arduous search, but one with no luck. When Renjirou was alive, the concept of "status opens up knowledge" played a big role in his life. He soon decided his best course of action was to strive to become Shinigami in order to gain the power and information he needed to find his friends.
Whether by pure luck or hard work, Renjirou was able to enter the academy, and after more years of training and diligence, graduated and entered the ranks of the Seireitei. Through certain events, he became avidly loyal to the Juusanbantai Captain Ukitake, and was able to be placed in his Division. In the years the followed he worked diligently and trained ardently, eventually landing himself a promotion to fourth seat in the division. Satisfied with his position, Renjirou turned his attention to seeking news on his missing friends and defending the spiritual plane from attack, in hopes that that would increase the chances of his companions surviving.
OTHER: Renjirou's favourite foods are sanma, soba, and plain dango. He hates daikon, enjoys calligraphy, historic epics, and playing the (string piano), and can't hold his alcohol (he's a sleepy drunk, F.Y.I.).
